“Arms Wide Open is stunning. While Jess Lee may come across as understated, her music is anything but and the reflective, vulnerable, lyric-driven track is no exception.”

After many years of making melodies in her bedroom, Cambridge-based Jess Lee decided it was time to captivate the world through her thoughtful tunes and delicate, lovely lyrics.

Before the release of her debut EP, Out of Dust, Jess spent many years feeling lost and aimless; drifting day-to-day, she would question her purpose of existence. The only consistent, recurring theme was her faith. Trusting God even when you’re lost with no sense of direction was what inspired Jess to write the lead single ‘Arms Wide Open’; a testimony of God's faithfulness. The track focuses on the brokenness and seeming frailty of humanity, and how ‘You’ always finds us with ‘arms wide open’.

After receiving a tremendous response from nationally-recognised Christian radio station, UCB2, her track was named as ‘pick of the uploader’ on BBC Radio Introducing Cambridgeshire and she has featured in their Getting To Know You segment. A STEP FWD continues to support Jess Lee, awarding her the #2 spot on the UK Christian Chart:

Jess writes from real experience and emotion; it soaks through and flows from every curve and corner of the EP. Jess Lee is absolutely one to watch.
